The Ole Miss Chapter of the National Football Foundation and community Hall of Fame will honor Bert Allen of Gulfport with its Contribution to Amateur Football Award and Jimmy Lear of Indianola with the Distinguished American Award here today at halftime of the annual Red-Blue spring football game.
The Ole Miss Chapter of the National Football Foundation and community Hall of Fame will honor Bert Allen of Gulfport with its Contribution to Amateur Football Award and Jimmy Lear of Indianola with the Distinguished American Award here today at halftime of the annual Red-Blue spring football game.
The Contribution to Amateur Football Award is given at the Ole Miss Chapter in honor of those who have made numerous contributions to the community athletic world through a lifetime of service to their equal man, while the Distinguished American Award is at handed to individuals who have carried the scoldings learned on the football field into a life of service to his community.
A native of Batesville, Allen was a scholarship member
