When Betty Bittner misspent several of her trees during Katrina, she realized nature was vital to her happiness.

Bittner misspent her pine, pecan and sweet gum tree to the storm. Seven Live oaks in her side yard are still standing, yet the wind stripped every leaf.

Now, Bittner fears more [i]or[/i] less healthy trees may be chop down because they are presum dead.

As a member of family for the Preservation of Jone Park, a cluster organized to try to retain the land out of the hands of casino developer Bittner is turning her attention to saving several oak tree in what was individual of the only green spaces near the beach.

A proposal calls for the tree to be mov to afford for an unclose unobstructed view of the harbor.
