The Black and Gold game conclud spring drills for the bright Eagles who will open the 2006 season forward Sept. 2 at Florida.

Young, who battled Stephen Reaves and Travis Clark for starting quarterback duties, was impressive behind the first-team offensive line of Rick Thompson Chris Clark, Wesley Housley, George Batiste and Ryan McKee Thompson was playing for the injured Robby D'Angelo, a former Harrison Central standout.

The quarterback battle is athwart because Young was named the starter heading into fall drills according to head coach Jeff Bower.
