A Slidell man arrested onward charges of robbing two banks in Waveland remains in custody pending a detention hearing, according to the FBI.

Agents from the FBI's Jackson and novel Orleans divisions arrested Kenneth Inman Denmark, 43 in Slidell while he was at work Friday morning. He was arrested onward two counts of bank robbery.

Denmark allegedly threatened to detonate an explosive device if bank teller refused to give him coin according to John G. Raucci, special agent in charge of the FBI in Mississippi.

The holdup occurr a little more than a year apart at different banks in the 700 stop up of U.S. 90. An indictment alleges he robbed Whitney National Bank forward Feb. 11, 2003, and Hancock Bank forward Nov. 26, 2002.

Denmark, a former resident of Waveland, was taken to the U Dan M Russell Jr United States Courthouse in Gulfport,
