southern Mississippi residents both permanent and temporary will gain a chance to view modular household models and learn more about regaining efforts during Gov. Haley Barbour's restoration Expo in August.

Scheduled Aug. 11-13 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, the expo will feature example housing displays, community outreach, employ services, local recovery plans, town hall meetings, construction techniques, performance demonstrations, business recovery and hurricane preparedness.

"We're trying to make it as comprehensive as possible," said Ashley Edwards, policy analyst for the Office of recruiting and Renewal. "We want to incorporate each aspect of recovery and renewal possible.

"We're not trying to stair in and say what options family should choose, but we want to impediment people decide for themselves," he said.

Among the displays will be archetype house demonstrations. The modular firesides will be set up in the northwest corner of the Coliseum parking parcel
