Contractors wanting to build the cargo and rental car service facilities and perform improvements onward the airfield that will lay the taxiways, ramps and roadways to relocate those and other facilities, including the general aviation terminal, will be anxiously awaiting the 2 pm deadline.
That will place the landscape for the stillness of the bid process, which may dilate at least two more weeks. After the airport staff and engineers evaluate the bids, the authority has a special meeting tentatively establish for July 26 to adopt a resolution approving a grant application to the FAA.
