Baseball, it's safe to say, has been Barry Lyons' life for as lengthy as he or anyone besides who knows him can remember.

He's the youngest of Kenneth and Margaret Lyons' four lads all of them born and raised in Biloxi, and he played football and baseball at Biloxi High educate He played for legendary baseball coach Dave "Boo" Ferriss at Delta State. And Lyon made it to the major leagues, earning a World Series ring as a backup catcher with the colorful just discovered York Mets in 1986.

Lyon get backed to the Coast in 2002 with his wife, Marsha, and their daughter, Danielle. He's had a hand in a not many baseball ventures since then and has worked tirelessly to someday bring minor league baseball to southward Mississippi.
